Sara Anderson

Cognella Custom Manager

Sara leads the Cognella Custom team. Prior to joining the company, she managed planning for the Trade Division at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, served as Operations Manager at Harvard University Press, and worked as an Editorial Assistant at HUP and McGraw-Hill. Sara has a B.A. in English literature from Washington University and an M.B.A. in supply chain management from Northeastern University. She moved to San Diego from Boston with her husband and their 16-pound cat, Sonny. In her free time, Sara enjoys reading, hiking, and playing bridge.

Danielle Gradisher

Project Editor

Danielle works with professors and program and department coordinators to create effective, customized course materials. Before joining the Cognella Custom team, she served in production and licensing roles with the company. Danielle’s previous experience working with the Peace Corps in Ecuador within high school and university English departments provides her with a unique window into instructor and student needs in the classroom. She holds a bachelor’s degrees in English literature and Spanish from the University of California, Davis. In her free time, Danielle enjoys reading and burning up the floor salsa and swing dancing.

Megan Laddusaw

Project Editor

As a project editor, Megan loves helping instructors and academic coordinators put together custom course readers and textbooks that are highly tailored to the needs of their unique students and classes. Before joining Cognella, she served as an acquisitions editor at Palgrave Macmillan in New York City, where she commissioned, developed, and oversaw the production of titles for their scholarly history list. Megan holds a degree in English literature from San Diego State University and continues to be a member of multiple book clubs. In her spare time, she enjoys walking around with her camera and exploring new places, and she never tires of listening to show tunes, nor passes up an opportunity to see live theatre.

Mark Nagy

Senior Project Editor

Mark’s previous work experience as a firefighter and kitchen manager of a brewpub taught him to think on his feet in fast-paced environments, a skill he’s successfully applied to his role as a senior project editor with Cognella Custom. Mark partners with instructors and program coordinators at institutions across the country to transform academic reading materials into efficient coursepacks and custom anthologies. In his free time, he plays street hockey for regional champs 4SRanch, enjoys jogs though San Diego’s Balboa Park, and whips up gourmet meals for friends and family.
