Ask your project editor for assistance if you use a different version of Microsoft Word.
Special Characters and Equations
If your manuscript contains special characters or equations, send us both a Microsoft Word and PDF file. The PDF will preserve special characters and equations, ensuring our team has the information needed to correctly lay out your book.

If you create materials, including your manuscript, in one of these programs, send us a PDF file containing your full manuscript during each manuscript review phase and production phase for your book.
If you plan to draft your manuscript using special software, or plan to use third-party software to create figures, graphs, or other elements that will be included in your book, be sure to let your editor know early on. Certain software providers place stipulations on the use of content created using their platforms in commercially available works, so the Cognella licensing team may need to look into this for us.
