Cognella®, Inc., Partners with Independent Publishers Group

A strategic partnership yields new distribution opportunities for Cognella titles

San Diego, CA – December 4th, 2017 – Cognella®, Inc., today announced a partnership with Independent Publishers Group (IPG), the second-largest independent book distributor in the United States. IPG helps independent publishers reach new audiences with unique marketing efforts and distribution through robust print and digital channels.

Select Cognella titles will enjoy expanded distribution in the United States through IPG, resulting in increased exposure at professional and bookseller conferences, the opportunity for inclusion in trade bookstores, greater reach through eBook sales platforms, and publicity in IPG’s Academic and Professional line catalog. The partnership will also allow for wholesale distribution and improved fulfillment of IPG-distributed Cognella titles.

“We’re excited about the new distribution channels and marketing opportunities our partnership with IPG will produce,” said Cognella CEO Bassim Hamadeh. “We can’t wait for new readers to discover Cognella’s innovative and captivating titles through IPG’s extensive distribution network.”

“At IPG, our mission is to help publishers reach and expand the audience for their content,” said Paul Murphy, IPG’s Vice President of Academic, Art, and Professional Markets. “Our investments in innovative digital marketing tools paired with our substantial direct relationships with book buyers will drive more discovery of Cognella’s exceptional content.”
