Marketing Coordinator
Cognella, Inc. is seeking a detailed-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic publishing team. In this full-time role you will be responsible for launching books to our catalog, supporting authors, promoting their works, and executing email and social media marketing campaigns. You will also help create catalogs, flyers, postcards, and other marketing materials for both online and live events. Be part of our innovative marketing strategy development. Responsibilities:
- Launch content into our catalog and support our author clients.
- Create and send email marketing campaigns, segment data, run reports, and build automation and follow-up campaigns.
- Manage data in our CRM and develop marketing collateral like flyers, catalog, postcards, and digital advance review copies.
- Support sales and marketing teams in demand generation activities including email campaigns and conferences.
- Enhance our social media presence and develop new promotional content.
- Track and research data trends to report on campaign effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent professional experience required. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is preferred.
- 1+ year(s) experience working in a professional setting.
- Proficiency using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Excel, Zoom and Outlook is required. Knowledge of HTML, BOX, WordPress, and experience with Adobe InDesign or other design tools is helpful for updating marketing materials using templates. Experience with project management systems like Monday.com is also beneficial. Proficiency using AI tools efficiently can enhance productivity.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail along with impeccable organizational skills. You will be updating data on multiple systems and will need to be able to ensure accuracy for efficient data processing and copyediting.
- Experience creating email marketing campaigns using an email marketing server or automation application (HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, MailChimp, Acoustic, etc.).
- Experience working with CRM software is a plus (Salesforce, HubSpot, Sugar, etc.).
- Must be an adaptive person with outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Professional demeanor along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Copyediting experience is a plus.
- Physical abilities: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time in an office environment.
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Start Date: Immediate
Location: We have a hybrid work environment, and you will work alongside other members of our marketing team 1-2 days per week in our thriving Solana Beach location on Cedros Avenue. Three to four days a week you would work remotely. A dedicated workspace and access to reliable internet is required during this remote time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Compensation: Wage ranges based on assigned professional levels and experience. Junior Professional Level I starting at $40,000.
