Design Aesthetic Samples

This refers to a figure that has been provided by an author or drafted in-house and which serves as a visual model for a single figure or as a design example off which all artwork for the book should be aesthetically based.

Reference Figures

Reference figures are images or figures overlaid with an author’s mark-up (labels, arrows, or drawings) that will be consolidated or enhanced by Cognella for publication. The following is an example of two figures an author found in Cognella’s pre-cleared image resources and then marked up with arrows to indicate their linkage.
