Nine Cognella Textbook Covers Receive GDUSA American Inhouse Design Awards
A select group of Cognella textbook covers have been recognized for their creativity, impact, and ingenuity
San Diego, CA – September 20, 2022 – For the eighth consecutive year, Cognella textbook cover designs have earned Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) American Inhouse Design Awards.
GDUSA’s American Inhouse Design Awards is the original and premier showcase for outstanding work by inhouse creatives and their departments. It seeks to highlight the myriad ways in which inhouse designers advance the mission of and build value for their companies, institutions, brands, products, services, and causes.
In 2022, GDUSA received a record-breaking 6,900 entries, of which only 400 designs have been recognized for their excellence and innovation. Included in the winning designs are nine Cognella textbook covers designed by Cognella Graphic Designers Jess Estrella, Emely Villavicencio, Asfa Arshi, and Abbie Goveia, featured below.
“In the eight years we’ve submitted textbook cover designs to GDUSA, this is the greatest number of design awards we’ve ever received, which is a testament to the enormous amounts of imagination, passion, and skill our designers possess,” said Cognella Founder and CEO Bassim Hamadeh. “I couldn’t be happier that their work continues to receive such prestigious recognition year after year. I’d also like to extend my congratulations to the authors of these award-winning titles, whose impactful manuscripts undoubtedly helped to inspire our graphic designers’ award-winning cover designs.”
