Adopting instructors can use a sample syllabus as a guide for teaching the material within your textbook. A sample syllabus should include the course description, learning objectives, grading breakdown, and a reading schedule, if applicable. Having a reading schedule for both a semester and quarter schedule is ideal.
To Create a Sample Syllabus
- Remove institution-specific information from your syllabus, including contact information, teaching assistant details, institution-specific dates, etc.
- Add the book title and author name(s) in the upper left-hand corner of the page.
